No trip to the beach is complete without eating something from the sea. Here are 5 places to get tasty and satisfying seafood in Clearwater Beach Florida.
Bait House

The Bait House Tackle and Tavern is one of those true hidden gems in Clearwater. A small, roughly 20 table outdoor dining joint, the Bait House functions first and foremost as just that, a tackle shop. However, behind the tackle shop is the freshest seafood I’ve ever tasted. Locally caught, in-season fish, as well as a large selection of local beers on tap and a cool overwater deck gave this place an authentic Florida fresh feeling.
Bonus… the Bait House was walking distance from our stay at East Shore Resort, be sure to click to read our review.
Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill
Frenchy’s is one of those Clearwater Beach staples that you have to visit at least once while you’re in town. While there seems to be a location around every corner, they obviously grew and expanded for a reason. Rockaway Grill is one of those idyllic locations on the beach, perfect to combine your seafood with a sunset cocktail!
Frenchy’s is also steps away from one of my favorite Sunny Side Hotels.
Columbia
Get your seafood with a Cuban and Latin flare at the Columbia Restaurant. The Columbia appears to be fine dining, but casual dress is fine. You’ll get the best, family-style tapas, wines, and Mediterranean-style food, as well as four different styles of grouper among its many seafood dishes.
Clear Sky Beachside Cafe
If you’re looking for seafood for breakfast, Clear Sky Beachside Cafe has you covered. Crab, Salmon or Lobster eggs Benedict or omelets are on the menu. You can even get a seafood crepe.
Beach Fire Grill

If you prefer your seafood barbecued and grilled, Beach Fire is the place. Cooking up a selection of shrimp and other meats over a real wood fire gives their food that authentic smoky taste. This is another of those perfect locations on the beach with live music and stunning sunsets.

The fried grouper sandwich is pretty much a staple and a standard among seafood restaurants in the St. Pete and Clearwater areas. find more Grouper Sandwich Hot Spots here.
