Max Beach Resort Review Best Daytona Beach Luxury Hotel for a Girls’ Trip

Whenever I plan a girls’ trip vacation, one of the top priorities for me is finding the best luxury hotel. We want to enjoy a weekend away in style after all. This time my friend and I planned a weekend in the Daytona Beach Area. For this trip, the choice was an easy one – Max Beach Resort. This beachfront hotel opened last year and has quickly become the best Daytona Beach luxury hotel. In addition to its fantastic amenities and impeccable ocean view, Max Beach Resort offers everything our girls’ trip needed to have a wonderful and comfortable vacation. After our fun weekend, it’s no surprise to us how this resort has quickly become one of the most popular hotels in the area.
We stayed at the Max Beach Resort during a cold and blustery weekend in February. While it’s not a typical beach vacation weekend, a cold day at the beach is still better than a good day anywhere else! Our trip included two families, having a girls’ weekend and you’ll see below how we took advantage of some much-needed relaxing and downtime!

Where is the Max Beach Resort
The Max Beach Resort is located directly on the World’s Most Famous Beach, Daytona Beach. The direct beach access makes it a perfect place for a girls’ weekend.
It’s located at 1901 South Atlantic Avenue. The unique curved architecture of the hotel means that nearly every room has an Atlantic Ocean view. While it is on the ocean side, it’s about a five-minute drive to the Intracoastal waterway. If you want to rent a boat or kayaks, you’re within easy access.
From there the resort is also about 15 minutes from both the Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona Beach International Airport.
While Daytona Beach suffered some hurricane damage last year, this location and its beach are in good shape. We saw no visible erosion or damage.
This Daytona Beach luxury hotel is a perfect vacation destination, due to its proximity to popular Daytona attractions. The Max Beach Resort is a nice location to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its breathtaking views, this resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time with friends.
With plenty of activities such as swimming in the pool, sunbathing on the beach, and hiking nearby trails, there is something for everyone to do. The staff at the Max Beach Resort is also very friendly and accommodating, ensuring a truly delightful experience.
What do the Max Beach Resort Guest Rooms look like?
What makes the Max Beach Resort one of the best hotels in the area are the luxury suites. Truthfully, I love looking at the ocean. All I need is the incredible panoramic ocean views from the huge private balcony and I was sold on this resort.
Because the resort is a curved, rounded shape, the balconies are angled. This angle makes your balconies perfectly private. The private balcony makes this beach hotel stand out amongst others that have balconies overlooking the ocean. When you get unparalleled water views without worrying about who is looking at you from the next room over, it makes for a relaxing vacation.
The Daytona Beach Luxury Hotel is really 70 luxury condos, each with full kitchens. This includes dishware, cookware, a full-size refrigerator, stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a Keurig coffee maker. Whether you are there for a family vacation or a girls’ trip like us, it’s nice to have a full kitchen that you can stock with snacks and drinks.
In addition to the full kitchens, the living space features a pull-out sofa, flat-screen TVs, free wi-fi, and full sliding glass doors that open fully to the private terrace balcony.
There are a variety of room types from a 1 bedroom to a 3 bedroom which can sleep up to 8 people. Even the bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views.
I really enjoyed the design and layout of the rooms here. Unlike other locations where you want to escape your room and see the sites, if you’re looking for a place to connect with your family or friends, you’ll want to spend a lot of time in the room.
What amenities does the Max Beach Resort have?
As much as I enjoyed spending time in the room, the hotel features an on-site amenities make this one of the best luxury hotels in Daytona Beach.
Outdoor Pool
Set right along the beachfront, their outdoor heated saltwater pool and hot tub are set in a tropical oasis for swimming and lounging in the sun. If you are looking for a more private and relaxing experience, they offer private cabanas. The views from the beachfront pool are truly stunning and it’s the perfect spot to watch the sunrise or ocean waves. Weather permitting, if swimming in the ocean isn’t for you or your friends, the outdoor swimming pool and lounge chairs are great for seaside drinks.
In fact, drinks on the deck or the nearby grassy lounge chairs are another reason the Max Beach Resort is perfect for a girls’ trip.
Just outside the pool area are the on-site restaurant and poolside bar. Venn Bar is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. happy hour happens Monday through Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm. Occasionally, they do need to shut down the outside portion due to the weather. fortunately, you can either order right outside the restaurant or in the rooftop lounge and have anything you want to be delivered as room service.
Rooftop Lounge
Let’s talk about the rooftop lounge and sunset deck. Next to the balconies, this was another favorite feature of my group.
The sunrise and sunset decks are open-air decks on either side of the top floor. Featuring Adirondack chairs and cushy lounge cushions, it’s a great place for panoramic views.
The indoor lounge also features large open windows. Staff is available for drinks or food orders during peak times. The lounge is also the perfect place to chill with free games. in addition to more cushy chairs, the lounge has a pool table, shuffleboard, checker sets, and tables to bring your own cards or games.

What to do in Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is an excellent vacation destination for a girls’ trip, full of sandy beaches, warm sunshine, and exciting activities. Located on the central Florida coast, Daytona Beach has something to offer everyone, regardless of age or interests. From relaxing on the beach to exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding area, there are many great things to do.
For those looking for some rest and relaxation, Daytona Beach offers miles of pristine sand to enjoy. Enjoy a leisurely stroll on the beach, build sandcastles, go shelling, and search for sand dollars in the ocean. Spend some time lounging in the sun with a good book, take a refreshing dip in the Atlantic Ocean, or challenge friends to a game of beach volleyball.
For those looking for an educational experience, there are plenty of great things to do. Visit the Mary McLeod Bethune Home and learn about the life and work of this prominent educator and civil rights leader. Take a guided tour of Lighthouse Point Park, an excellent place for stargazing. Art enthusiasts can visit the Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art at the MOAS Museum to learn about local and Florida artists and art about Florida.

If you’re a racing fan, the Daytona International Speedway is a must-visit. Here you can take a tour of the facility on non-race days. It’s the world’s most famous race track near the world’s most famous beach. How could you go wrong?
It is interesting to note where we saw the history of racing even during visits to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Racing and driving on the beach is something Daytona is known for.
This was an incredibly surprising and fun trip to the beach, thanks largely to Max Beach Resort and Visit Daytona Beach.
