Recently, I got a hair-brained idea that I should visit all 50 states before I turn 50 years old. I’m all about more travel, so this may just be an excuse to travel more, but I do like the idea of a neat bucket list like this.
So, without further ado. Here’s where I’ve been, and where I need to go.
Where I’ve Been |
Where I need to go |
Alabama | Alaska |
California | Arizona |
Connecticut | Arkansas |
Delaware | Colorado |
Florida | Hawaii |
Georgia | Idaho |
Illinois | Iowa |
Indiana | Kansas |
Kentucky | Minnesota |
Louisiana | Missouri |
Maine | Montana |
Maryland | Nebraska |
Massachusetts | Nevada |
Michigan | New Hampshire |
Mississippi | New Mexico |
New Jersey | North Dakota |
New York | Oregon |
North Carolina | South Dakota |
Ohio | Texas |
Oklahoma | Utah |
Pennsylvania | Vermont |
Rhode Island | Washington |
South Carolina | Wyoming |
Tennessee | |
Virginia | |
West Virginia | |
Wisconsin |
So, what constitutes visiting a state? Driving through for one. You see so much of the landscape, to me, it counts. A layover on a plane doesn’t count.
Eating in a state is a bonus, and certainly sightseeing and staying for an extended time counts.
I’ve linked above the states where I have content, and that will be another goal: to bring you content from each of the 50 states.
While some of these it’s been some time since I’ve visited, but I would not start from scratch either.
