California is a state that just about everyone has on their bucket list. With its glamorous vibe, year round sunshine, gorgeous beaches and incredible things to see and do, that comes as no surprise. If you’re considering visiting, here are a few ways you can make the most of your trip.

Head to the Beach

Chances are it’s the incredible beaches that were one of your main reasons for booking a trip to California. So this will be a big part of your adventure to The Golden State. As well as lying in a hammock, soaking up the sun and letting the stress melt away, you could get out onto the water on boats and spot some Californian wild dolphins, whales and sea lions. You even have the opportunity to go swimming with dolphins too, in a way that’s completely animal friendly. Unlike sea life parks, these are wild dolphins not those in captivity and there are thousands of them!

Dine, and of Course, Wine!

California is known for its wine, in fact, it produces 90% of all wine in America. Visiting the vineyards and going wine tasting could be a really enjoyable part of your trip, you’ll get to learn lots of new things and might find some new favourites. If wine isn’t your thing there’s still plenty of chances to indulge in a great drink, you could check out Duke’s Spirited Cocktails Healdsburg, or head to Flora Rooftop Bar to watch the sunset while you sip on something delicious. There’s no shortage of great food either, California has been named as one of the top ten food cities in America. There’s something for all budgets and you’ll be able to find every kind of cuisine you can think of.

Visit The Best Attractions

From the Golden Gate Bridge to Yosemite National Park, Rodeo Drive and even California Disney, there’s no shortage of fantastic attractions to visit on your trip. Do some research, sit and look through all of the available options and decide which you’d like to see. Don’t forget to look for the hidden gems too, perhaps cheap or free things to do or attractions that are a little off the beaten tourist path. Make a plan based on your preferences, budget, time constrictions and feasibility and go from there.

Shop til You Drop

California is home to some of the most iconic and high-end shops in the world. If you love luxury shopping you’ll have a blast browsing through the designer boutiques and get a real experience of the most glamorous side of California. You will probably even brush shoulders with a few celebs! If you’re on a tighter budget, there’s still a ton of shops, malls, markets and more to search through so you can truly shop til you drop!
